Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love Hewitt has revealed she gets people coming up to her on the street thinking she is really psychic. Jennifer, 30, plays psychic Melinda Gordon in the CBS series, who helps the troubled dead to move to the “other side”.  But is she a real life ghost whisperer?

She said: “In real life, I get approached by people who believe that I really have some psychic ability.” Jennifer added: “They’ll come up to me and they’re sobbing because they’ve lost someone.

The star actress added, “I wish I was the person they think I am and that I could help, but I’m just an actress playing a part.

“Then again, after playing her for four years, I feel Melinda has become almost like my best friend. I get affected by what’s happening to her. “There are definitely days where I need to go home and unwind!”
