Wie bei fast jeder neuen Episode von Ghost Whisperer gibt es auch dieses Mal ein Ghost Whispering. Dieses mal wieder mit P.K. Simonds. Mehrere Szenen gewähren uns schon einen Einblick in die Episode.

So wie jedes Jahr gibt es mal wieder das Gerücht, dass Ghost Whisperer von CBS auf ABC verlegt wird. SpoilerTV und diverse andere Seiten haben dies zumindest im Internet veröffentlicht.

What is the future of Ghost Whisperer? Despite being that chimera known as a solidly performing Friday night network drama, CBS is said to be pondering a Friday night reshuffle.

Interestingly, as Ghost Whisperer is co-owned between CBS Studios and ABC Studios, the upshot might be that Ghost Whisperer might drop off of CBS’s schedules and resurface on ABC’s, resulting in a strange echo of last season’s Mediumnetwork switcheroo.

The ratings have sunk this season, but the fact is that none of the broadcast networks is doing well on Friday nights this year, and Ghost Whisperer is pulling in okay if unremarkable ratings. There seems to be less of a chance that Ghost Whisperer will be canceled outright, than that CBS will rethink Fridays and leave the show without a berth.

Ghost Whisperer, currently in its 5th season and on the far side of its hundredth episode, is doing well in domestic and international rating and continues to pull a following, as does its brandmade Medium, but given its longevity and success in reruns it wouldn’t be difficult for network execs to decide it has run its course. Medium, wholly owned by CBS Studios and normally keeping all of its Ghost Whisperer lead-in, is slightly more likely to stay on the CBS network, but if CBS decides to shake up Fridays it’s likely both shows will be closed out.

Wie jedes Mal gibt es auch zu 5×19 “Lethal Combination” ein Ghost Whispering. Diesesmal sagt Kim Moses etwas über die Folge und Danielles Lied, das in der Episode vorkommen wird. Danielle erzählt ihre “Ghost Whisperer Geschichte” und wie stolz sie darauf ist, dass ihr Song im Hintergrund läuft.

Die ursprünglich vor 4 Jahren als kleine Erweiterung von Ghost Whisperer angedachte Webserie The Other Side erfreute sich schnell ziemlich großer Beliebtheit bei den Fans. So wurde seitdem gegen Ende jeder aktuellen Season von Ghost Whisperer auch eine neue Staffel von The Other Side produziert. So gibt es auch in diesem Jahr eine neue Geschichte.

Um die Webserie gebührend zu bewerben gibt es auch ein sehr interessantes Behind the scenes mit Ian Sander und Kim Moses, wo Ihr einiges über die ursprüngliche Entstehung von The Other Side erfahren könnt.

Jennifer besuchte neulich Bonnie Hunt in ihrer Show. Dort stellte she ihr Buch vor, redete ein bisschen über Ghost Whisperer und sprach über Geister. Außerdem waren ihre Dating-Erfahrungen ein Thema in der Show.

Weiterhin schlechte Quoten für Ghost Whisperer. Auch die gestern ausgestrahlte neue Episode 5×05 Panikraum konnte nicht viele Leute vor die Bildschirme locken. In der Zielgruppe kam man auf gerade mal 690.000 Zuschauer, was einem Marktanteil von 6,5% entspricht.

Beim Gesamtpublikum sah es leider auch nicht besser aus: der erzielte Marktanteil von 3,6% ist knappen 1,08 Mio Zuschauern zu “verdanken”.

Da kabel eins im Moment aus Quotengründen generell sehr im Programm herumpfuscht, kann man nur hoffen, das dies früher oder später nicht auch Auswirkungen auf Ghost Whisperer hat.

Jennifer Love Hewitt wird bei dem Film “The List” (Arbeitstitel)  mitspielen. Hier ist der Artikel dazu:

Lifetime is gearing up for production on an original movie headlined by “Ghost Whisperer” star Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The film, tentatively titled “The List,” was penned by “Frasier” alumna Suzanne Martin.

Set in a small Texas town, it centers on a former beauty queen (Hewitt), now a married mother of three, who faces certain foreclosure on her home after an injury sidelines her husband from working.

Convinced that no one as pretty as her deserves to be poor, she takes a job at a massage parlor, only to learn that the clients expect more than a rubdown.

Eric Laneuville, who has directed more than a dozen episodes of CBS’ “Ghost,” is set to helm “List,” which is being produced by Jaffe/Braunstein.

Hewitt will executive produce with Dannielle Thomas, Michael Jaffe and Howard Braunstein.

Production is slated to begin in the spring in Vancouver for a premiere this year.

Hewitt stars in and executive produces “Ghost,” now in its fifth season. She is also set to make a cameo in NBC’s romantic dramedy anthology pilot “Love Bites.”

Martin’s comedy pilot “Hot in Cleveland” recently was picked up to series by TV Land.

Hewitt and Martin are repped by WME. Hewitt is managed by Untitled.
