Vor ein paar Tagen wurde die Ghost Whisperer Fangemeinde mal wieder in helle Aufregung versetzt, als Jamie Kennedy über seinen Twitter-Account folgendes verlauten ließ:

OMG ghost whisper huge plot turn…..u guys aint gonna belive

Nun stellt sich die Frage… kommt da wirklich wieder ein großer (und dieses Mal bleibender) Einschnitt? Oder ist dies nur eine Werbemasche, die zeitlich perfekt nur wenige Tage nach den schlechtesten Einschaltquoten der Serie in den USA gesetzt wurde?!

Kristin von spoilertv hatte letzte Woche ein kurzes Gespräch mit Jennifer Love Hewitt und Jamie Kennedy. Natürlich war das Thema die fünfte Ghost Whisperer Staffel. Lest hier, was Kristin zu berichten hat:

When we chatted up Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boo, Jamie Kennedy, last week, they told us that one of their favorite scenes for the new season so far was this: “We got to do sort of a Nick and Norah-esque scene the other day where we got to be funny and serious, and cause trouble. That was a lot of fun,” says J.Love. As for Jamie, he says he gets to flex his emotional muscles more this year. “This is the first time where they let me do emotional stuff. It’s been hard. I look at her and say, ‘Jeez. How do you cry so much?’ ” J.Love says, “He’s really good at it. People are going to be really impressed.”

In letzter Zeit machen sich Jennifer Love Hewitt und Jamie Kennedy bei den Fotografen ziemlich rar. Umso schöner ist es dann, wenn mal wieder neue Bilder auftauchen. He was a co owner and founder of a screen door store in Grandview and owned a lovely lake home that he and his family enjoyed every summer. Comedic ability is a plus with this character. [EVELYN] 50’s to 60’s, is the mother of Eli James (Jamie Kennedy) and died 10 years ago from a brain aneurysm. Her cause of death is called into question when Melinda has a vision and it seems more complicated than first explained. Comedic ability is a plus with this character. Es sind bisher undatierte Bilder von Jennifer Love Hewitt und Jamie Kennedy aufgetaucht, auf denen die Beiden beim Reisetaschen schleppen zu sehen sind. Mit ziemlicher Sicherheit wurden die Fotos gemacht, als sie auf dem Weg nach Monte Carlo waren, da Jennifer hier die gleichen Klamotten trägt.

Während der zahlreichen Interviews in Monte Carlo konnte Jennifer Love Hewitt den neugierigen Reportern so manche neue Information zu Ghost Whisperer und auch ihrem Privatleben geben.

Besonders “interessant” oder Besorgnis erregend sind an dieser Stelle wohl die um die Hälfte gekürzten finanziellen Mittel für die Special Effects der Serie. Lest hier den kompletten Text von E!online:

If special effects like a passenger plane falling out of the sky, scaryass ghosts popping out of nowhere or some fancy-schmancy, gruesome makeup are what you love about Ghost Whisperer, we might have some bad news for you.

As we all know, times are tough and even successful television shows are feeling the pinch. At least that’s what Jennifer Love Hewitt, star and coproducer of Ghost Whisperer, told us when we caught up with her at the Monte Carlo Television Festival this week.

The star told reporters about the show’s cost-cutting methods for next season and even dished on her romance with Jamie Kennedy…

“We are a special effects show, so some of our special effects stuff has had to be cut in half,” she said. “We haven’t been able to do any actor raises for season five. We’ve had to cut budgets here and there. They have also been talking about actually shooting our show on HD to save money.”

On the upside, J.Love’s looking forward to her maternal storylines for next season: “So far, the series has been about her talking to ghosts, but also keeping herself safe and fighting the dark side. Now, she’s not only looking out for herself, but looking out for a child as well.” Her child, of course, is a baby boy who has “the gift.”

The actress attended the festival with boyfriend and costar Jamie Kennedy and wasn’t shy with the PDAs. During roundtable interviews with the press, Jennifer popped out a few times to kiss her man, who was sitting nearby conducting his own interviews.

The lovebird laughed about how she recently got a lot of flack for saying that if Jamie didn’t propose within a year, there would be hell to pay. She said the statement was taken out of context.

“What I meant by it is, I was engaged and so now all the sudden because I was engaged once in my life I can’t do anything else but get engaged again,” she explained. “And that’s it. I have to either have a baby or get engaged. I can’t just be happy and have a great boyfriend and travel the world. Those things are not fantastic enough for people. I have to be ready to get hitched again. Of course there is something underneath there. I do think after a year and a half, if he isn’t thinking…”
